Supposed toの訳は、

 

「〜する事になっている、のはずだ」等です。

 

Supposed toとは、

 

“intended to; believed to, expected to, required to, it is said, it is believed”等の意味です。

 

I am supposed to file this report by the end of the week.

This printer’s supposed to work with this computer.

 

 

Supposed toを言う時は、「-ed」をはっきり発音しないのが多いと思います。DからTに繋げるのは難しいです。

 

ですから、Suppose to..によく聞こえます。

 

キャジュアルな会話で”suppose to”はOKです。

 

ライティング等でもinformalだとsuppose toでもまあまあOKです。例えば、短いテキストメッセージ等で。

 

しかし、文法的に正しいのは、supposed toです。

 

 

英語の文法練習はこのテキスト・Understanding and Using English Grammar with Audio CDs and Answer Key (4th Edition)をお勧めです。文法の参考書は、こちらのガイド・Practical English Usageも実用的です。私も両方レッスンで使っています。
