Separateの発音・読み方

Separateの発音・読み方は２つあります。

動詞の場合は、

１番目の音声の読み方です。

This contest will separate the men from the boys.

Adviceとは、

「忠告、助言、アドバイス、報告、通知」等の訳になります。

意味は、

“Counsel; an opinion or recommendation offered as a guide to action, conduct, etc.

A communication, notification, etc.”

I gave my friend some great advice, but he ignored me.

Grayとgreyの違いは、スペリングだけです。

意味も発音も同じです。

アメリカ英語では、通常grayのスペリングです。

イギリス英語では、greyです。

Supposed toの訳は、

「〜する事になっている、のはずだ」等です。

Supposed toとは、

“intended to; believed to, expected to, required to, it is said, it is believed”等の意味です。

I am supposed to file this report by the end of the week.

This printer’s supposed to work with this computer.
