日本語では、storeとshopは両方「店、商店、小売店」と訳せますね。
Shopの英語の意味は、
- a retail store, especially a small one
- a small store or department in a large store selling a specific type of goods
- the workshop of a craftsperson or artisan
- the workshop of a person who works in a manual trade; place for doing specific, skilled manual work
- any factory, office, or business
Storeとは、
- an establishment where merchandise is sold, usually on a retail basis
- a grocery
- a room, floor, building housing or suitable for housing a retail business
両方同じ様に使えるケースはあります。しかし、barberstoreとは言いませんね。
