Intoの意味は色々ありますが、主に

to the inside of; in toward; toward; in the direction ofの様な意味で使われるのが多いです。

 



 

訳すと、

…に、…へ 　（動き、方向を表わします。）

Let’s go into the restaurant now.

You will plug this into the wall.

 

 

一方、inかtoが動詞と一緒に使われる熟語等の場合はin toになります。

 

The dog came in to drink some water.

熟語は came in.

 

The assistant manager turned his report in to his supervisor.

熟語はturn in.
